Tracking of Power Lines

Objective The goal of the project is the development of a tool to track power lines in the Hough space.
Description

In the Hough space lines can be presented as peaks. Having an image sequence the peaks of one detected line will not jump in the Hough space and so tracking is possible. Further, by filtering jumping or flashing peaks outliers can be removed.

Goal: Develop a tool to track power lines in the Hough space

  • Track peaks in the Hough space that represent lines
  • Filter outliers by eliminating jumping peaks
  • Integrate detection in the ROS robotics framework
  • Become part of a team working on cutting-edge robotics and vision systems

Requirements:

  • C++
  • Linux experience is an advantage
